Description:		Vintage signed "STERLING" brooch in a rose design with bead set marcasites.  Weight is 14.8 grams, circa 1950s.  Vintage jewelry made with marcasites prior to 1960 is superior in quality compared to marcasite jewelry today. Marcasites are bead set and not glued in. The marcasite jewelry today is cheaply made with glued in stones that have a very good chance of falling out over time.
